Join us for an unforgettable 8-day (7-night) landscape photography tour of the breathtaking Lofoten Islands—Norway’s crown jewel of natural beauty!

This rugged, untamed archipelago is a paradise for photographers, offering dramatic peaks, picturesque fjords, and stunning coastal scenery. Towering mountains rise from the sea, charming fishing villages dot the shoreline, and ever-changing Arctic light transforms the landscape into a work of art.

Throughout the tour, we’ll focus on capturing Lofoten’s most iconic and hidden gems, from snow-covered summits to wild seascapes and remote beaches. The islands are easily accessible, connected by scenic bridges and tunnels, allowing us to chase the best light and compositions with ease.

While the Northern Lights may make an appearance, our primary focus will be on creating breathtaking landscape images, taking advantage of golden hour, blue hour, and the unique Arctic atmosphere. If conditions allow, we’ll also venture out on a boat excursion to photograph the majestic white-tailed eagles in their natural habitat.

Day 1 - Arrival at Evenes - check in at Reine

We meet at Evenes Airport and take an approx 4-5 hour drive out to the famous Henningsvær, where we check in to our hotel. You will stay in the same hotel during the whole tour. We will have a small welcome meal for dinner. Over dinner, we’ll get to know one another better as we get acquainted and discuss the itinerary for the next few days. It’s a great time to learn more about the details of the tour and to ask us any questions that you might have. Make sure to have your camera gear ready. If the Northern Lights make a display on this evening, then we may head out for our first shoot! At night it might be possible to shoot the incredible aurora borealis if the weather permits. Otherwise, we’ll try to have an early night so that you can be up bright and early to shoot in the morning

Day 2-7 - exploring lofoten

Due to the rapidly changing Arctic weather in Lofoten, our itinerary is always flexible to ensure the best possible landscape photography experience. We closely monitor weather systems to position you in the right place at the right time, capturing Lofoten’s most stunning locations—from Å in the southwest to Svolvær in the northeast. Most of our time will be spent outdoors, exploring dramatic coastlines, rugged mountains, and picturesque fjords in varying light conditions.

If weather permits, we will also dedicate a day to a boat excursion, focusing on photographing the majestic white-tailed eagles in their natural habitat.

Day 8 - Depature

This will be your final day in Lofoten. We will leave the check out of the Hotel, and drive towards the airport, and make a couple photo stops on the way to the airport. We will arrive at the airport around 12:00 the 5 oct.

As for the camera equipment we strongly recommend you to bring as minimum the following

Steady tripod

Camera

Lenses between 16-400 mm

ND filters

Drone (really nice to have - remember that you need a license to fly drone in Norway. There is a change that all drone activitivty will be forbidden in Norway)

Is autumn time in Lofoten, and you can expect everything from, sun, rain to snowy conditions, from calm days to stormy days. Since we are going to spend most of the days outside including nights, then is important to take some really warm cloth with you, that you can keep you self warm in.

We highly recommend that you get a travel and medical insurance. Your own domestic medical insurance and private health scheme will not cover you whilst you are overseas.

The tour is always dependent on weather, as the weather can be highly unpredictable. When it comes to the Northern Lights, while they are most likely to be seen between September and April, there is no guarantee that they will appear on a given day.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

We strongly recommend you to get a Trip Cancellation & Travel Insurance after booking your trip. If you cancel and the Workshop is otherwise filled, we will refund you the full amount you have paid towards the tuition, minus a € 45,- service charge. If you cancel and the Workshop does not fill, then you will be refunded according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:

Greater than 45 days from the start date of the Workshop: full refund minus € 45,- service fee.

15 days or more: 50% refund

Less than 15 days: no refund

Refunds will be paid by the same method that the original payment was made.
